Overcoming Chronic Back Pain
Rehab & Post Rehab
Emerge coaches and trainers are movement specialists who can design rehab and post-rehab strength programs with the goal of getting back to life quickly.
WHAT IS CORRECTIVE EXERCISE?
Put simply, corrective exercise is a specialized exercise therapy process to correct something that has gone wrong with the musculoskeletal system including:
- muscle imbalances
- strength discrepancies
- range of motion issues
The goal of corrective exercise, essentially, is to restore movement in people who have certain physical hindrances such as lower back pain or shoulder pain.
WHAT MAKES EMERGE DIFFERENT WHEN IT COMES TO CORRECTIVE EXERCISE?
Our process takes traditional corrective exercise a step further because we focus on the sustainability of our clients. If the changes you make with your corrective exercises aren’t sustainable, it isn’t corrective exercise. It’s Advil.
Advil makes you feel good, which is hard to argue with, but for a limited amount of time.
The downside to this? Have you ever had a back or knee issue that you masked with Advil, and then proceeded to squat or deadlift on those joints? It usually ends up bad. So, you didn’t correct anything, you made it worse.
Overcoming Chronic Pain
An Emerge coach can develop a targeted strength program for nagging pain, including:
Very often, significant relief can be found and sustained with targeted strength and mobility training.
OUR PROCESS: TARGETED STRENGTH AND MOBILITY TRAINING
A certified Corrective Exercise Specialist at Emerge will assess your balance, posture, core functionality, flexibility, and other movement patterns. This will allow them to identify the weak or inhibited muscles that are contributing to your pain and develop a specific strength program to fix the issue. With continuous training, the changes in the body as a result of corrective exercise will be measurable and sustainable.
It’s your turn. Emerge.
